While immigration officers support the Trump administration’s goal of deporting undocumented migrants, many of them have grown ‘disillusioned’ with leadership’s tactics, according to reports

Morale is “plummeting” among federal law enforcement officers tasked with carrying out the Trump administration’s aggressive anti-immigration operation, as they complained that long hours, ambitious arrest quotas and hatred from the public, according to reports.

While officers at Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Patrol, overseen by the Department of Homeland Security, said they supported the administration’s goal of deporting undocumented migrants, many of them have grown “disillusioned” with the tactics being implemented by leadership.

More than 20 current and former immigration officials told The New York Times of their discontent in the hours following the fatal shooting of 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti by a federal agent in Minneapolis.

It was the second deadly shooting of a U.S. citizen carried out by a federal agent in weeks, as officers clashed with protesters following intense public anger over the violence in Minneapolis.

Can’t they all just go back to their paramilitary shacks/camps in the woods where they will train even more to protect themselves and the citizens against a tyrannical government? Can’t they? Don’t they know they’ve been fooled into helping the tyrannical government? Don’t they? /s

It’s kind of wild how much this is tracking with nazi germany.

The Brownshirts were Hitler’s first paramilitary force but ultimately became a liability due to their sheer incompetence / stupidity.

So came the Night of Long Knives.

They all got massive sign-on bonuses. If they quite before 5 years they have to pay 10k per year they left early.

        Fuck that.

        Prior conditions.

ALL the prior conditions. U.S. healthcare will prove to be just as fatal, optimizes suffering, far more expensive, and the frustration of knowing you could be cured easily by a functional system run by a caring society.

Unionize and demand better working conditions, like lower quotas, only criminal record targets, proper long training, and 32-hour work weeks. Strike to get it. Get fired in the process. 😂

I don’t know if this is true, but the employment contracts supposedly have a repayment clause. So the assumption is many people are financially unable to quit once they are hired.

Its actually really common in the US. Hiring bonuses get paid out at the end of the first year but are paid on the first day. The repayment is pro-rated based on how long you worked.

It’s a unique ice thing. I’ve heard they are paid a bonus and are on the hook to give it back if they don’t work 5 years. Ofc they could just not spend it but assuming they did they owe the government money if they quit.

I don’t care though, they are murdering people in the streets

I’ve never heard of this before but it is a real thing. I would chock this up to the Administration not wanting to really pay anyone… thus trying to ensure they don’t get massive numbers quitting.

Also, anyone notice that all the people working for DHS during all of this that media has captured in public are men? Is that by design or do women have better morality?

My wife told me about some lefty podcast she listens to where the host was recruited by them and went through the process just to take a peek behind the curtain. Apparently the 5-year repayment thing is real, at least going by the contract they gave her.

Them quitting is a good first step but wont solve the underlying issue. ICE recruited Nazis. They will be Nazis with or without ICE.

The Nazis are not the ones with the moral problems, I’m sure. They are all walking around at half-mast over the hate they are receiving and the atrocities they are committing.

They have to realize that eventually people are going to start fighting back, too, and their leadership don’t give a fuck about them. They’re a means to an end, and that end is getting people to riot so Trump can declare it an insurrection. If they think they fear for their lives now, wait til people start responding with actual force, not the imaginary threats they complain about.

The lot of them should definitely not be allowed to work in any public service role ever again. Thats after they are released from prison and put on a mandatory reporting violent offender list.

Oh no, ICE is sad that everybody hates them for murdering people in the streets and putting kids in concentration camps :( Guys you’re being really mean.

How about you grow a spine and quit? Oh wait, if you had a spine you never would have joined.

Get prepared for “low morale” the rest of your lives motherfuckers. You’ll never outrun the shame and hate, traitors. I hope you never find peace.
