Bracing? Looks like someone just woke up. Silicon valley chews up and spits out low income workers for decades. It is the extraction/denial of wealth to the underclass, along with other factors, that makes this area appear so prosperous.
This. Tech workers are just freaking out now that they’ve realized that the machines they built might be coming for them too lol.
NYT is the apologist PR arm of this enterprise. They didn’t just wake up. They are hoping the public won’t put 2 and 2 together for as long as possible.
Not bracing for it planning it, it is not a bug of the system.
