During their roughly one-hour phone call on Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that “American ownership” of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants would be “the best protection” for them, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt told reporters.
Honestly I think Zelensky’s best play at this point is to agree to whatever with some token resistance, and immediately buy nukes from France, then cancel the deal. Trump/Putin have proven too many times their word doesn’t mean shit. Any treaty with them is worth less than the paper it’s written on. Treat them as such.
